It's July, and you know what that means?

CHRISTMAS. TOY. SALES.

Yup, all department stores are having them, and Target's opened at midnight on Thursday.

Thursday night I headed to the shops, unplanned, with my friend. I was curious about the toy sale so we casually went to check it out. And to my surprise, found these two ADORABLE little babies:

HOW CUTE ARE THEY?! My poor *guy* friend had to put up with my excessive squealing, jumping around the had to follow me around the shops while I proudly held them up *big grin*

I checked Target's online catalogue later and found out that there were in fact FOUR costume HK plushies. The store I visited were overstocked with the bear and tiger, but didn't have any sheep or the other one (it's grey).

I sent the boyfriend to check the Target near his place, no luck, still the brown ones left. I ventured to the Target near my place on Saturday and found ONE white sheep left. I checked the city store and after searching four different stores, still can't find the grey one! :(

Oh, they were $15 each! Down from $20.

AVCon (anime & video convention) was last weekend. I've never been and I've been meaning to go for a few years now, just to check it out. Anyways I headed there on Sunday with my friend. Entry was $30 but luckily at the door, some lady was willing to give us 2 passes for $15 each - HALF PRICE! So we took it.

I suppose I'm not really into anime. Or video games. They had a few stalls though, and I found one called 'Kawaii Imports'. They import stuff here basically. Anyway they had a heap of Hello Kitty, so I picked up a 4-in-1 pen (blue, black and red pen plus a pink highlighter) and some stamps:

It was alright I suppose, you'd have to be REALLY into anime and gaming to enjoy it. Mm, other than that it was good :)

No idea WHAT came over me when I bought it, I looked back a few days later and realised it was just sitting there and thought .. I'm never gonna use this, am I? But seriously, IT'S A SCOOTER! *excited* LOL it's actually uber adorable, and no I don't care if I look like a massive douche riding it. YEAH I'M GONNA RIDE IT LOL. Summer is gonna be awesome, gonna bring it to the beach and parks and ride around .. no joke. It's barely adjustable to my height and the weight limit is 50kg, meaning it's obviously designed for kids. The lady suggested some other scooters though .. but I don't really need a scooter. And I wouldn't buy one if it wasn't Hello Kitty!

Tomorrow I'm venturing off to Sydney, AGAIN. I'm definitely gonna check out Maruyu, it's about a 2-minute walk from my hotel? Paddy's Markets, Chinatown, Market City are at the top of my list for Hello Kitty hunting!

On a side note, gonna be attending WINTERBEATZ, going on a dinner cruise along Sydney Harbour and doing lots and lots of shopping!

I'm actually so, so, SO tempted to pick up the phone and call up that store to see if I can mail them my resume or something. Yeah, it's in Melbourne, so what? LOL I wanna move out of Adelaide one day anyway. Preferably to Sydney. Although Melbourne OR Sydney are both good options, I'm fantasizing right now about telling everyone I'm moving interstate to live by myself, attend a better uni *cough* which in turn will provide me with better job opportunities, plus work at the Sanrio store - I'd be all like I'M LIVING MY DREAM!

Picked these up at Duchess along Swanston street:

I go there every single time I'm in Melbourne to buy BAGS! They're so cute and insanely cheap - the place also stocks a heap of Japanese-y shoes, phone accessories and of course, slippers :) These were $19.95.

Also got this scarf from Dangerfield:

The tag reads 'Hello Hello Scarf'. It also came in red with white polka dots which looked a lot nicer, the only downside was that the bow was BLACK! :( How emo .. so I opted for the red bow. $18.

Gah thing is I've been meaning to go to Dangerfield in Adelaide for A LONG TIME to get this scarf, like 4 weeks maybe? But I'm never in the city so I actually waited until I went to Melbourne because sadly, buying it interstate was more convenient than me buying it here LOL lazyyyy.

YES! Got home and had a lovely little brown box waiting for me. Firstly, let's start with the stamps:

HOW ADORABLE! The seller is located in Japan, this box was mailed from Japan hence the cute little stamp and return address sticker!

Now for the all important item ..

AHHHHHH IT'S SO CUTE! To be honest it's A LOT bigger than I expected, the charms are HUGE! I kinda looked at it like .. oh .. can I wear this out? I probably will anyway.

The invoice that came with the package had this stamp on it:

THE WHOLE THING WAS JUST SO CUTE! It was around AU$80-something, the bracelet itself was US$59.99, postage was only US$7. If you're after authentic Japanese items, do check out the seller on eBay! Lots of Pokemon/Hello Kitty/Tokidoki!

I'm forcing myself to stay awake and blog about this, I'm heading to Melbourne tomorrow! .. again LOL for anyone that's followed my blog for a while, this is my third time to Melbourne this year. The last time I went, which was April 29th, I came across this store:

Which I totally forgot to blog about when I came back before! But yeah, some Korean store down Bourke St. .. it's overpriced. But stocks tons of cute things, not just Hello Kitty! But mm, shall be back later this week to blog if I come back with any awesome Kitty goodies -- probably not, since I'm saving my dosh for Sydney :)

Hello Kitty Perfume Body Mist

Lazy Sunday afternoon in with the boyfriend, we headed to the supermarket to pick up some hotdogs. We had the hotdogs, the bread, some chips to snack on but I insisted on checking out the health & beauty aisle, seeing as supermarkets are often far cheaper when it comes to those products.

Anyway we entered the aisle, I was looking down and to my surprise, spotted this in the deodorant/body spray section:

Priced at $4.95 each at Coles, I picked up two since I was in a super excited "OMG THEY SELL HELLO KITTY BODY SPRAY" mood. Plus RIGHT before we headed out, the boyfriend asked if I had any spray .. I said no, since all I have is perfume.

Anyway it smells like BUBBLEGUM! It's so adorable and sweet-smelling. The back of the can reads:

"A sweet bubblegum treat for all girls naughty and nice"

LOL at the 'naughty and nice' bit .. suss. As you can see, the bottle isn't the prettiest, I'm not the biggest fan of it. Still, anything Hello Kitty is adorable to me :)

P.S. Now I can't afford food until Wednesday, LOL =_= That was my last $10 in my bank account (well, the one I can use as I have another for my 'savings') and I spent it on Hello Kitty body spray. Mm .. money well spent? I think so! :)

1. Hello Kitty x Tokidoki charm bracelet
MINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! IT'S SO ADORABLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! *breathes*
Okay so the boyfriend got me a bracelet for my birthday. I'm not complaining but the material it was made out of (stainless steel perhaps? not sure) kept 'stretching' so a lot of the time I couldn't lock it together (it's a heart-locket kinda thing). Which meant it could easily fall somewhere while I was wearing it. PLUS a lot of people had the bracelet, it was from a fairly well-known store =/ So, he offered to get me another one and during my many hours of forcing him to sit with me while I shop for Hello Kitty, I came across this:

YAYYYYYY! The seller is from Japan. Plus I'm almost certain this is authentic. Why? No one has bothered to fake the Tokidoki x Hello Kitty range. Hence everything on eBay is overpriced, like the actual online stores themself, $30 for a pen haha. And look at how well some people take care of their items, there's a Tokidoki x Hello Kitty bag on ebay for US$650 'never removed from factory wrapping'. Yes, it's still in plastic .. they didn't even take it out to take a photo of it, it's all sealed and everything. Like wow =S But the bracelet should be in the mail to me soon =D!

2. Hello Kitty x Tokidoki CACTUS PLUSH TOY!
I've been eyeing this since the collection came out .. a while ago. It's Hello Kitty. As a CACTUS. How much freakin' cuter can you get?! Something about it screams UBER CUTE and I've always wanted it, and you know what I figured last night? My car is green. That's about the only thing that I'm willing to stick in there to match my car colour AND the inside stuff, which is all pink. A Hello Kitty cactus hanging from the review mirror = WIN!

Roughly AU$40 with free postage. However, you can get a cactus AND a donut for around US$71, which yeah should be roughly AU$80 for the pair.

Shall order it when I come back from more interstate tripping during July :) Seeing as it's not really a 'need' right now, as I'm not driving .. yet. But the next item is a need ..

3. Hello Kitty hoodie
Mm winter :( I looked around for brands such as Superdry and G-Star hoodies but didn't find anything I was really into .. I'm not big on brands anyway. But did come across THIS which is so so cute! Reminds me a bit of 'beckii cruel' (youtube her), but I'm not willing to fork out the AU$120-$130 for it :(

Haitus + rambling

Mm I know I barely update this anyway :( I have so many drafts saved but yeah, I'm so lazy .. actually I'm procrastinating as I'm typing this up -- 3 major assignments due next week! While everyone else is on SWOTVAC for uni. But I only have one exam, hah!

ATTEMPTING to take a break from my online life. Well I started with the shopping, chucked all my money into my second bank account and within the hour, ended up Paypal-ing a skirt with my first one -- fail. Thought about deactivating Facebook etc, might do that soon :(

I spent a good hour yesterday at uni browsing through the official Sanrio online store, why oh why do they only ship to US/Canada/Japan?! I found a seller on eBay located in Japan who buys directly from the Sanrio store apparently, but it's way overpriced. But .. SANRIO STORE IN SYDNEY! YAY! That's not Gift Gate! I first came across Gift Gate in the Philippines in 2001, stocked up on heaps of goodies. When I went back in 2007, the place had majorly downsized. Disappointed :( Gift Gate is also located in Chinatown in Melbourne/Sydney but I actually hate how overpriced everything is, if you're in Sydney you might as well walk down 200m to Market City. Oh but heads up from Danny in my previous blog, $2.50 store in Sydney! Which I looked up and is about a 2-minute walk from my hotel =D Link is here -- click click! I actually have so much more motivation to save for Sydney because of that LOL, shall be living in that store every day!

Anyway, photo spam you say? These are all already on my computer. I took these for a magazine assignment a few weeks back, obviously chose Hello Kitty as my topic because I'll be more likely to complete the assignment if it's something I'm interested in :) Oh and for the 'own photos' bit .. I mean, I just took photos of all my stuff LOL EASY!

My Nintendo DS + Accessories: I probably should've gotten a photo of the outside of the DS too, nothing flash but I have a white Hello Kitty hard case over it. The inside bit are just stickers, the colour blends in well with my DS hey? :) Got Hello Kitty: Big City Dreams from my friend for my 18th, poor girl said she was embarrassed buying it because the guy thought it was for her. She said it was for a friend and he didn't believe her LOL.

My laptop accessories: Went all out for my new laptop, it's pink! Laptop bag from eBay for around $14, the vacuum and keyboard duster + cloth were $1.50 each on eBay, mouse from eBay, foldable rubber keyboard $22.50 from Market City in Sydney, speakers from the ex and 4gb USB from a friend :)

MAC x Hello Kitty collection: I can guarantee that the eyeshadow ($90, David Jones) and possibly the shopper tote bag ($40, online) are authentic. Yes, $40 for a thin bag .. sigh. Bought it within the week the collection was released, it went down to like $10 on eBay after a few months. I intended to only purchase the bag from the collection, there was no way I could afford the whole thing, note that the majority of the items pictured are FAKE. Why? The two black tubes are mascara + eyeliner: $16 for both off eBay, MAC never released any mascara/eyeliner with the collection. Same with the concealer, $10 from Paddy's Markets in Sydney LOL obviously fake. Two of the lipglass pictured are POSSIBLY authentic, I purchased two for about $12 each then another 2 after for .. like $3 each? HAHA plus the tubes are noticeably a different sized compared to the earlier ones I bought, which were from a seller in Australia - the second ones were from Hong Kong. BUT - the box/packaging looks identical, looks so authentic *however* MAC only released 6 shades of lipglass for the collection. I have 4 different ones, I remember there's a clear and a purple one, so the 4 I have may be the remaining colours? *shrug* I know for sure 2 definitely are. Despite the fact that half of these are fake, they're so cute for carrying around :) I carry all my lipglass in its .. 2 boxes. The fake items (eyeliner, mascara, concealer) are all pretty dodgy but eh, looks cute just sitting there :)

"The Assignment" -- had to get it professionally printed, cost me $33. And I got a Credit. SERIOUSLYYY I think it deserves at least a distinction. Some of my best work, pffttt :(

ANYWAY shall return later. After exams and stuff. Probably 3-4 weeks. WITH an actual blog about products. I need to purchase Hello Kitty contact lens cases from FocalPrice, still waiting on my contacts to come in *twiddles thumbs*

Kitty Haul

I need to go on a Kitty Haul this week! I've been meaning to for a while, there are a few sites that I wanted to order from but have been putting off.

FocalPrice, it's one of those cheap dodgy sites but stocks a lot of super cute Hello Kitty items! I'm planning on ordering in 2 different contact lenses cases (coloured contacts in a few weeks, yay!), a comb (mine broke, not happy T_T) and a mouse pad (I'm using a Hello Kitty one right now but it's falling apart).

Urban Outfitters, I plan on ordering 8 of the limited edition HK mini plushies! They're blindboxed, meaning it's totally random, for all I know I could end up with 8 of the same character .. but it's worth a shot! Considering it's free shipping over $100US until the end of this week, each plushie is $10US. Plus some HK lip balm (I have 4 boxes of MAC HK lipgloss sitting around) and a few other items of clothing!

I'm still working on my car, got 2 new items in this week from eBay that match with my 'theme', the bear Hello Kitty :) That's the majority of the inside done, I'm gonna start ordering stuff for the outside like bumper stickers and the extreme HELLO KITTY CAR DECALS, like massive faces that cover a whole door! Plus giant stickers that cover the ENGINE! It's about $70 for a whole set, I may or may not go to those extremes because I'm scared of my car being scratched or the stickers damaged in weather (it's the start of winter in Australia right now) so I'm still contemplating that. As much as I'd LOVE whole-car stickers, my car is green .. I've found some adorable designs, lots of pink and bows but it may not suit the colour :(

Also, I wanna make some HK nails! Nothing too flash, just some small HK bow pieces, maybe 2 faces and some nail lace stickers. Just something simple for everyday wear, perhaps pink and white! And maybe a few more plastic parts to make another phone cover if I can be stuffed (my cover cracked, I bought a silicon cover that I used for a few weeks then reverted back to the cracked deco one). Maybe some more magnets for my whiteboard too!

Will post up photos later tonight or tomorrow, still working on an assignment that was due yesterday eep. :(

Hello Kitty Car 2

I blogged a while ago about the items I had purchased for my car. I'm still on my learners, and will be for the next 2-3 months, but as soon as I'm regularly driving around these babies are going on my car (Y)

Everything finally came in, so here are some photos!

It's a 2006 Ford Fiesta. But it's green :( I'm not complaining though, it's pretty good for my 'first car'!

Back seat. I threw everything on roughly to see what it looked like. The headrests don't fit on this type of car, I'll find a way around it.

Front seat belt covers. I'm going to purchase another (probably different) set for the back seat belts :)

Matching steering wheel cover. You can remove the kitty :)

In total so far (yes, I plan to buy A LOT more), I've spent about $100. The sun shades are from the Philippines, I bought them like .. 8-9 years ago? And they've been sitting around ever since, waiting for this day to come *tear*. Still got a LONG way to go, this is nowhere near complete! It's just the basics, I'm going to add as much detail as I can to the car :)

Easter + Tupperware

LOL tupperware, for lack of a better word. I was contemplating 'cutlery' then 'plastics', but I figured my items do actually come under the category of tupperware .. anyways more about that later, you're probably like 'wtf?'

A few weeks ago I did a massive 9-hour shift at work. I ended up missing the last bus home as it was 6pm and dark so I went walkabouts while waiting for my ride home. Found myself in Coles hunting for reduced Easter goodies. And yay, found these for HALF PRICE:

The pez dispenser was $3.50 (down from 7) and the cup was $3 (down from $6). The cup is 3d-like, you tilt it and the image changes, I think that's obvious in the photo above :)

At the end of my last blog, I said I was off Hollywood, my local bogan central, to pick up some magnets and go to the gym. I did both of those tasks, after standing in Target for a good half hour, debating whether or not to buy some 20% off Hello Kitty toys. I finally walked out of there empty-handed then floated over to Campbell's Clearance Outlet to see if they sold blank magnets. Heh, no blank magnets .. but found these:

They were all on a table with a sign saying '2 for $5' .. naturally I picked up one of every item, for a total of $10 for all 4. Prettyyyy good :)

Hello Kitty Car

:( I'm horrible with my blog updates. Okay, MASSIVE blog after this one, only blogging right now because I'm taking the pics off eBay and don't have to get my camera out and take them myself. Actually, I don't even have Photoshop right now (note to self: get Photoshop .. later)

Rah rah .. I procrastinate a lot =_=

Anyways, I'm finally starting driving lessons on Monday! Yeah, I procrastinated about that too - took me a good 2-3 weeks before I finally called my instructor. Took 2 years after I turned 16 to bother going for my L's, and it's been well over a year since I've actually done that, and only NOW have bothered to get lessons. :(

The car I have lined up for me is GREEN. Seriously .. green. It's a nice shape though, a little 2006 Ford Fiesta. It's either that or a RED Nissan Pulsar from 90-something. But dude, seriously .. it's green.

Ah well, it won't stop me from doing you-know-what to the car.

Won these off eBay last night:

10-piece car seat cover set! Comes with two front head covers, two front seat covers, two front back covers, two rear head covers, one rear back cover and one rear seat cover. Price is $65US, roughly $70-something AU?

I was considering all pink but I found a set for about $130US, 19 piece that came with all the accessories - steering wheel cover, hand brake cover, etc - but they were all pink and just had strawberries printed on them or simply 'Hello Kitty' on it (no image), as the actual seat covers were the only item with Hello Kitty printed on it. Mm .. PLUS, I tend to eat a lot =_= Chances are I'll be eating while driving one day, and spill something .. NO TO WORRY, IT'S BLACK!

Oh, and seeing as the set doesn't come with all the accessories, I'll need to buy them separately :)

I won the seat belt covers last night for $12US and I have my eye on the matching steering wheel cover, going for roughly the same price:

Everything is so pricy! But I had to resort to US eBay because Australian eBay only has about 150 car accessories?US eBay = 800+. I like my variety!

Still on my list are car stickers (window & engine), hand brake cover, rearview mirror cover, maybe a few cushions for the back seat. And a new pair of Hello Kitty slippers (or I'll just chuck my current 'home' ones in the car) for driving in comfort =P Oh, and a sunvisor CD holder thing, I already have Hello Kitty car shades .. brand new, been lying around for about 10 years. Awesome.

HAHA I feel like one of those people that spend all their money on their cars, except I'm not actually upgrading any features of my car .. just decorating it :) Ooh, can't wait to drive.

Anyways, off to Hollywood to haul some glue. Might come back with new stuff to blog about. Aww, I will blog tomorrow.

UPDATE!

BLAH I'm yet to blog about my Melbourne finds. Which wasn't much, just a few shirts and stuff and .. OH WAIT nah I actually got some pretty interesting stuff! Now that I think back to it haha, will have to wait as I can't be stuffeddd taking photos :)

Okay, to be honest, my computer is somewhat virused and I'm holding out for 2 weeks for a new laptop. I really should order it now, but yet again, CAN'T BE STUFFEDDD zzz ..

Anyways!

I ordered myself a little Hello Kitty Scientific Calculator off eBay :) Yes .. studying Market Analysis and requiring a scientific calculator was just another excuse for me to go out and buy something Hello Kitty. Yeah, it was $32 from Hong Kong. And yeah, it's the lightest, most dodgiest plastic 'calculator' I have ever seen. And it will most likely die in my exam. BUT IT'S SO CUTE! And it's actually licensed by Sanrio, not some random rip-off - I'm relying on that authenticity to keep my calculator alive, at least until the end of my exam.

Photos soon .. in a while, I can barely open anything because my laptop is so screwed.

Melb haul involved 2 shirts, a stationery set, a folder, a bobble head, some chocolates and a *dum dum* XYLOPHONE. YES, I BOUGHT MYSELF A HELLO KITTY XYLOPHONE.

Story of that is, we were browsing the markets. There wasn't much compared to Sydney but, anyways .. I walked past a xylophone. Seriously, how could I pass that up? No one I know has a Hello Kitty xylophone, the thought never even occurred to me, but I was like HOW RANDOM! $12 secured me a small xylophone. Best. Purchase. Ever.

Hope that post was 'update'-ish enough, photos will all be stuffed into another post when I get Photoshop up and running again :) Trust me, the photos will so be worth it. Might ramble a bit more about my finds as well =D

Sydney Shopper - Take 2

I'm so horrible with my blogging, my updates are so 'blah' and untimely :(

Anyways, must rant about my Sydney trip .. again! Picture heavy to make up for my absence.

As usual, hit Paddy's Markets on a Sunday to see what goodies I could snap up.

I picked up this 'roly poly' inflatable thing for $10, it came flat. The bottom has sand/beans (not sure) to weigh it down so it stands up, when you try and push it over it just kinda rolls around.

That was the ONLY thing I picked up from Paddy's markets! (I know, even I was shocked).

Headed upstairs to Market City though and scanned the stalls, one was having a '10% off' sale so I picked up these:

1. Hello Kitty padlock - not entirely sure when or why I'd use one, but it looks cool, hey? $6, minus 10% = $5.40. Comes with 2 keys and the lock seems fairly sturdy :)

2. Hello Kitty mini drawer/container - in love with this! Picked it up for $12, initially I thought I'd use it to replace my blue Hello Kitty desk organizer (you know, cause it's blue) but I found a much better, satisfying use for it :) (second photo)

3. Hello Kitty foldable USB keyboard - down to $22.50! I actually needed one, my laptop backspace key is broken and my 'E' and 'O' have popped off. Thing is, I'm not sure how to get a USB keyboard working on my laptop :/ Hence why it's not plugged in in the photo below but eh, I'll figure it out soon :)

Also got this bag of Hello Kitty cookies from a small store in Market City. TBH they don't taste that great, but they're so cute to look at ^_^

Visited some store in World Square that was filled with imported goodies! They had a heap of Hello Kitty lollies and other sweets, unfortunately at about $5-$6 each :( I wanted all but settled with this bag of lollies:

Oh oh, I'm adding a little bit 'on the side'. I super LOVE arcades, especially the one in Sydney that has Hello Kitty toys! I won a few phone charms last time and was going for the new HK phone charms this time, but no such luck. I did, however, get these from the skill testers:

I spent $10 trying to win that pink phone holder in the middle! That included moving other toys in order to reach that one. But it's so worth it and SO CUTE, chucked my phone in it and it looks adorable ^_^:

Hello Kitty Clutch

I was in desperate need for a clutch bag for outings, I only own one silver Review one with a bow - silver doesn't match with everything, unfortunately :(

Went for a hunt on eBay - I snapped up a simple black one for $5 and proceeded to check the seller's other items. They had another of the bags in white. I considered that, until I found this:

Optional shoulder strap and I like the zipper :)

It was $12, I'm a fan of buying items from one seller to save on shipping. I figured, I purchased the black one anyway, I might as well fork out that extra $12 for this super adorable pink bag :) It matches with my pink heels and I can take it out when I don't want to use a massive tote bag.

Shipping was super fast too, came in 2 days after I ordered and paid for it!

Speaking of shipping, if you look at my past blogs you'll notice I blogged about Hello Kitty Bows. I ordered the ring and it came in within a week, however I also purchased the red bow clip on the 8th of December (it's now the 9th of January) and no sign of it :( I'll blog about both when the clip comes in!

2010 Calendar

Belated Happy 2010 :)

My workplace is next to this balcony bit in the mall and on the floor below is a calendar stand. It's only temporary though, they set it up around early November for the Christmas rush/new year.

I checked it out around then and found a Hello Kitty calendar for AU$25.99. I mean, it was cute and all .. but I wasn't willing to fork out that much just for a calendar. I don't even use calendars. They also had a 2010 organizer/diary for around AU$27-$28. It was adorable - hard cover, tabs separating the weekly/monthly dates from the notes and address book and it was all in PASTEL COLOURS! I would have considered it, if I didn't already have an organizer/diary lined up for my 2010 schooling :)

Anyways, at work the other day I glanced down and noticed big, red '40% OFF ALL STOCK' signs around the stand. I crept a bit closer to the edge and spotted the Hello Kitty calendar still in stock. SCORE!

I was feeling a bit under the weather that day too. Needless to say, I bounded downstairs after work and purchased it for a more reasonable AU$15. It's an American calendar (more discussion after images) - US$13.99 and CAN$17.99, as printed on the back. I swear, if you converted US$13.99 to Australian dollars, in this economic state it surely wouldn't be $26 here? I'd say roughly $20, maybe a bit under.

As an Aussie, I found a lot of the American holidays listed in my calendar to be pretty interesting:

Feb. 2: Groundhog Day - man, I wish we had that here.
Mar. 20: First Day of Spring - now this is different. Flicking through, I noticed the 'first' day of each season starts around the 20-22nd of the month. Ours is just the first of the month.
Apr. 22: Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day - How cool would that be?

My friend just linked me to a YouTube video (I'm not sure why a 20 y/o male is looking this up, but hey):

Seeing all those bows made me want some of my own!

I went for a hunt on Etsy and it didn't take me long before I found many sellers who made 'Hello Kitty bows':

The first one I found was this by ThePinkNinja. It's a simple little 3D hair clip, which I immediately fell in love with!

These are from Cinnamoroll Cafe. I think this seller just has purple and red, but I came across a few others that had a whole heap of different colour combinations. Go have a search :)

I recently purchased a pink bow ring from HimeHood. A few weeks before that my boyfriend got me a small bow ring I had my eye on .. and then about a month before that I brought another pink bow ring in Chinatown. THEY'RE BECOMING AN ADDICTION! But you know what I don't have yet? A Hello Kitty bow ring ;) The one above from DestinationDesign is adorable, there's many other sellers that have also made similar bow rings.

And to top it all off, Hello Kitty bow earrings! By xSweetAsCandyx, I think I may get some. They come in a variety of colours too!

Sticker Book x3 - 3 for $5

I was in desperate need of a new sticker book, my old one's running out. Why do I need stickers, you say? As if my pink folders aren't scary enough, they need to be covered in Hello Kitty. Same with my friends' stuff. You shouldn't be around me when I have my sticker book. Or now, books.

Playing Cards - $2

My last set of playing cards featured the cast of Meteor Garden. The cast of Meteor Garden = F4. Now when you play cards with me, instead of looking at Vanness Wu's sexy figure, you can look at Hello Kitty.

Bath Mat - $15

Yeah, it's a 'bath' mat, but I chucked it in my room. At least I'll be prepared for when I have my own place. I managed to haggle this down from $18 to $15 because the whole stand was HELLO KITTY! And I looked at the mat like a kid in a candy store. The nice woman asked if I really wanted it, and agreed to give it to me for $3 less :)

MAC Concealer - $10

Go ahead. Doubt the authenticity of this item. Because I know I do, HAHA! But it was $10 and makes a nifty addition to my collection.

Pillow Case - $6

Why NOT buy a pillow case? I had to add another pillow to my bed setting just to display my pillow case, bringing my pillow total to 7.

Drink Bottle - $6

While in Sydney, my friend had to go visit the gift fair so we all tagged along. It's where businesses order their products, so everything was at wholesale price. I got my friend to bring this back for me but it broke in her luggage :( Still, cute hey?

Phone Charms - 200 points

I love going to arcades interstate (because lame Adelaide doesn't have one anymore) and spending my nights gaming away :) Due to my slight gambling addiction, I always play the Deal or No Deal arcade game. The first time I ever played it was with my boyfriend (before we started dating) and due to beginners luck (or something else), I played until the end and opened my case to reveal 200 POINTS! - the maximum you can win in the game. I played it twice in Sydney - $3 per game. I won 5 points from my first try. For my second try, I picked my lucky number - 8. When it got down to crunch time, I was left with the 20 point case, the 200 point case or a 110 point deal. For me, NO DEAL! = 200 points :) I went to the counter to exchange my points for prizes and the guy pointed at the shelf with 200 point prizes. I thought I'd grab a Mario keyring for my boyfriend, until I looked at the shelf below and spotted a bunch of Hello Kitty phone charms for 50 points each .. my inner Hello Kitty lover took over and I walked away with 4 phone charms. YAY! The Mario keyring was ugly anyway =P

Plastic Curtain - $16

This is my THIRD ONE! I've owned two of these in the past, both the same design, both broken. Figured it was time to get a new and different design. I paid over $30 for the ones I got here in Adelaide, I found these in Morning Glory in Sydney for half the price! It was such a hassle bringing back but it was so cheap!

2 DAYS TO GO!

I went to the showgrounds today to fill out some forms, grab my uniform etc.

It was filled with people setting up. I mean, I've always known someone had to set up the show .. actually, it never really crossed my mind, I just kinda go there and assume it popped out of nowhere, haha!

But yeah, into the showbag pavillion I went. I got there 30 minutes early (+ brownie points to me) and got told to walk around and have a look. No surprise that I checked out the Hello Kitty showbags first (sneak peak!) ;)

.. they're crap.

Yep, sorry to kill it for ya'. I blogged yesterday about the 'fake' Hello Kitty items. You see, the bag itself and the display board is the 'real' Hello Kitty image. The items are a tad weird .. actually just Hello Kitty's face looks weird. The bag's fine, the items = *thumbs down*

I just Googled the Hello Kitty showbag, this is the display I saw today (haven't seen the second one yet).

3 days to go until *dum dum dum* THE ADELAIDE SHOOOOOOOOW!

It's this once a year carnival thing that happens in Adelaide (probably the only decent thing to happen in Adelaide) with rides, games, showbags etc.

Why am I blogging about it on here? Well, a few years ago (three, I think) they released Hello Kitty showbags! There were 2 different bags filled with different items. I went on the second day (out of 9 days) and one was already SOLD OUT! Grrr. So I got the other one. Last year there was only one showbag that contained the exact same items as the one I got the year before. I brought it anyway, haha.

THIS YEAR, there's 2! Both with completely different items to the previous years, and both sound so good!

I doubt it's authenticity for some reason. When the MAC x Hello Kitty collection was released, I jumped straight onto eBay and the MAC website to check it out. I'm not sure about the website, but I'm about 80% sure I don't remember seeing the mascara/eyeliner ANYWHERE on eBay. Same with stores, I checked some department stores here and interstate and don't recall any eyeliner/mascara. It's only started popping up on my eBay searches recently, hence I have good reason to believe it may be a fake. But there's so many sellers offering it on eBay, who knows!

I picked this up at an insane 'buy it now' price on eBay, $15.99 + free postage!

Anyway, fake or not (it looks 95% real), it's an awesome addition to my little MAC family :)

I was in Chinatown the other week and dropped by the Asian Grocery for some Milk Tea *drools* I always check out the sweets aisle because they always have new interesting random things .. Anyways, came out with this:

Long time no update - but that doesn't mean I haven't been out and about scouring for Hello Kitty items. It's winter in Australia right now - my least favourite season :(

I was shopping with my boyfriend the other week and we wandered past one of those stands that sell socks, hats, scarves - stuff to keep you warm in the colder months. I turned around for a better look as we walked past and spotted ..

As you can tell, I brought it :) It's so warm - the white fluffy material reminded me of cream and I couldn't stop touching it. It keeps not only my head warm but my EARS too! Here's a pic of something I picked up last winter for the same price - $20.

In case you don't, they're Hello Kitty EARMUFFS! Also super adorable and warm but I won't be needing them much now that I have a hat. Or will I? Depends on what I feel like wearing. ;)

MAC Hello Kitty Lip Gloss

Guess what finally came in! Yep .. the MAC Hello Kitty lip gloss I ordered from eBay last week. Great timing too, the mail came just before I left for a full-on day at uni yesterday.

As I mentioned, these were a BARGAIN! The cheapest I've seen these glosses go for on eBay. I initially ordered the pink and white but before posting, the seller checked and messaged me saying the white one had leaked and it was the last in stock. So, I picked out the red-orange one .. it smells like oranges.

Hopefully more to come, when I have the money :)

Anyways, during my many hours of procrastination tonight and eBaying while I should be doing assignments, I wound up searching for MAC x Hello Kitty and made 2 impulse purchases of their lip gloss - a white/clear one and a pink/purple shade for the low, low price of AU$8.99!

Recommend go searching it up, it's a bargain for MAC products! Located in Melbourne too so postage should be quick, I'll blog about it when I receive them :)

Had a few bucks remaining for the fortnight (I get more money tomorrow) so I wandered into the new Morning Glory that opened in the foodcourt last week. To celebrate their new store, they're having huge sales (30-50% off everything in store, etc).

The 'today's special' table was at the front and today it was '2 for $5', anything on the table. I checked it out last week and they had Hello Kitty cutlery sets, as well as pencil cases, clipboards, gift boxes, etc. I picked out these:

I already have a pink pencil case for uni that I brought at the beginning of the year at another Morning Glory sale. It's basically the same compartments etc, just that .. it's not Hello Kitty!

I ran into my friend at uni earlier who asked to borrow my highlighter .. but it was pink. Yes, it's a guy. I met up with him later and he told me he brought 2 highlighters from Morning Glory for only $1.30 - apparently there was one pink one left. So, I strolled over to the pens etc and - lucky me - the pink one was still there .. and it was HELLO KITTY!

In total: $7.05. I think I got undercharged, I'm pretty sure 30% off $1.95 for the highlighter isn't $1.05. But oh well :)

Caught the train to Uni the other day and when I got off at the city station, the small Asian gift/souvenir store had a sign reading 'CLOSING DOWN SALE: 50% OFF EVERYTHING'.

I've been meaning to check it out for a loooong time but never got around to it until now (it's amazing what sales can do to you).

So, wandered in for a look and walked out with this:

Notice the $2 pricetag? It was only a dollar, yay for bargains!

And yes, I do realise it's "fake" Hello Kitty, but hey, what do you expect for a dollar?

The box also says 'funny lamp'. The whole thing works as a night-light if you insert 4 batteries into the back, which I haven't done because I already have a Hello Kitty night-light.

However, it does accurately tell the temperature (it's 21 degrees Celcius in my room now).

Random impulse cheap bargain buy for the day :)

Yes, a Hello Kitty shower cap.

I haven't actually used a shower cap in years, I just clip my hair up. But that habit can be easily broken. The ears stick up when you put it on. It's actually a lot better quality than expected for what I paid for it, the material is fairly thick.

Ooh, another thing to add to my collection :)

It's been a while since I posted on here so it's time for a little update.

THE HUNT FOR MAC GOODIES

In a previous blog I mentioned the MAC x Hello Kitty collection. Well surprise surprise .. I found it in stores!

I don't know why it took me so long to find out we had it, when you enter Myer the sign is right in front! But I don't shop much in the city anymore.

I googled over the collection for a good 10 minutes then finally went to ask the sales assistant about the lip conditioner. I had ordered some from eBay a few days prior for $28US (around $42AUD). She said it was $35 but it was SOLD OUT! I asked if they were getting any more, dumb question because it's a limited edition collection.

I tested the eyeshadow and it's so .. SMOOTH! I only put a little bit on and it covered my whole eyelid in this soft, smooth shade of green *faints*

Anyways, I went to another department store, David Jones, yesterday and found out they also sold the Hello Kitty collection (they didn't when I checked a few weeks back). On some of the tester items there were stickers that said 'SOLD OUT' and unfortunately it was on the 'Pink Fish' lip conditioner I wanted. ARGH! There's two colours, Pink Fish - it's a light pink - and Popster, a sort of flamingo red. One of the pressed powders was also sold out. I doubt if I brought that I'd ever use it because of the Hello Kitty face engraved into the powder. I wouldn't ever touch that.

I guess I'll have to resort to paying for the item I won on eBay. I'm kinda waiting for the USD/AUD exchage rate to improve, currently $1AU buys 70US cents .. sigh.

Hello Kitty watch

The public holiday was on Monday. It's currently Wednesday and as you can see, I've been to McDonald's every day for the past three days to acquire these watches - 'Down with Brown' and 'Purple Fairy'. I still have to collect the pink and the red I think.

Yes, they are fully functional and yes, I would wear them in public (perhaps not the brown though). I think they're cute :)

I'm pretty sure you can guess what I'll be ordering from Macca's for the next month.

Kick-starting this blog with a little something I received today in the mail:

To be honest, I'm kind of disappointed. The material is very thin and paper-like, I was expecting something a bit thicker and thought it was maybe a canvas-like material lined with plastic. I feel kind of ripped off, spending almost $40 on this.

I purchased it too soon, when I heard of the limited edition MAC collection I immediately jumped onto eBay and got the bag. It's going for around $25AU on eBay now. Sigh.

I doubt I can find much use for it, it's not very strong so there goes the uni bag idea.

Makes me want to get back on eBay and purchase a more worthwhile item (perhaps the 22-piece MAC x Hello Kitty cosmetic set that went for $900+AU?).

Then again, I'm always trying to acquire items that no one else has. I doubt many people in Adelaide would have this bag. I mean I won't take it out, but yeah.

Anyway, while surfing Kitty Hell, I came across this MAC x Hello Kitty Collection advertisement. Enjoy.

Why did I create this blog?
Basically, to share an over-the-top love for all things Hello Kitty. I'll be posting photos of things I own, things I want and random Hello Kitty finds (believe me, there's a lot).

I had to make a whole blog dedicated to this because there's just too much to share and I didn't want to clutter up my Xanga.

Sit tight, I'll type up a blog about my Hello Kitty obsession soon.
